Assem Kara Unveils New Single “Slow Motion” Just in Time for Valentine’s Day Album Release.

Alesia Kara released her new single “Slow Down” taken from her upcoming fourth album “Love and Hyperbole.”

Upcoming Album Details

The new album, set to debut on February 14, will continue the story from the single “In the Meantime” released in 2021, along with her recent track “(Isn't It) Obvious.” This collection features 14 tracks and was produced by Mike Elizondo and Jake Gosling, with contributions from trombonist Roy Aiji.

A Personal Journey

“For a long time, I felt so lost and closed that I did not want to go outside,” Kara shares. “I question how I can find happiness if I can’t even bring myself to step into the world.”

Reflecting on the creation of the album, Kara mentions: “Each project felt like a step in the right direction, but this album represents more of a leap. One recurring piece of feedback I receive from fans is that my music has helped them feel acknowledged. The main reason I started making music was that I often felt invisible in my life, so it is incredibly touching to realize that self-expression can enable someone else to feel understood. My music aims to create something truly special and personal to me, while also being open enough for everyone to see themselves in my songs.”
