Brighton Indie Pop Band Hutch Returns with Their Quirky New Single “Rustle”

New Single Release

Brighton Quartet Hutch has unveiled their latest single, “Rustle.”

About the Track

This track, produced by Iggy B. (known for his work with Penelope Isles, Gary Numan, and Spiritualized), was crafted during the lockdown and delves into themes of nature and adventure.

“We wrote this song during lockdown, imagining the moments when we could bask in the sun alongside friends in nature,” the band shared. “Rustler” emerged as a fictional persona—a version of ourselves off on adventures while we remained at home, later returning to recount all the fun they experienced. This gave us some comfort amidst the long days spent indoors, away from new experiences.”

The band adds, “The title ‘Rustle’ stemmed from my obsession with Arthur Russell at the time. I found it amusing that his name was spelled differently from the action ‘rustle,’ and I promised to name my unborn child after the verb. Thus, ‘Rustle’ was born.”
