MOBO Awards have unveiled the first wave of performers set to grace the 2025 ceremony, scheduled to be held at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle on February 18th.
Confirmed Performers for 2025
Spice, Krept and Conan, and Bashi are among the confirmed artists for the event, marking the inaugural occasion that the UK’s largest celebration of black music and culture will take place in the North East.
Jamaican artist Spice, nominated for Best Caribbean Music Act, is set to showcase her vibrant dance performance on the MOBO stage. Her recent album, Mirror 25, successfully climbed into the top ten on iTunes in 2024.
British rapper Bashi joins the lineup following the launch of his first album in 15 years, Being Poor is Expensive. He has garnered three nominations, including Album of the Year, Best Male Artist in partnership with Prostate Cancer UK, and Best Hip-Hop Artist.
The British hip-hop duo Krept & Konan, former winners of Best Newcomer in 2013 and Best Hip-Hop Artist in 2015, are also set to perform.
“We are excited to announce the first wave of entries for the 2025 MOBO Awards in Newcastle,” states MOBO Founder and CEO Kanya King C.B.E. “Each of these artists brings something truly exceptional to the stage, and this is just the start. From the lively energy of dancehall to the dynamic beats of UK rap and R&B, we are preparing an evening filled with unforgettable moments.”
