James Ford reveals leukemia diagnosis

James Ford, the acclaimed producer behind much of Arctic Monkeys’ discography and half of Simian Mobile Disco, has disclosed that he is battling leukemia.

Ford took to his official Instagram to post a photo of a doctor holding a syringe connected to an IV. In the caption, he mentioned feeling unwell during Christmas, initially attributing it to holiday fatigue.

“Things escalated on Christmas Eve,” he recounted. “I endured a terrifying few weeks where I was very ill, and doctors were unsure of the cause, but ultimately, I received a diagnosis.”

He shared that he had been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a revelation that hit him hard. “While I fully understand the seriousness of the situation, it is treatable, and as of today, I am commencing aggressive chemotherapy to tackle it,” he stated.
