The 2025 festival is set to occur in Lisbon from July 10 to 12, marking its 17th edition.

Artist Lineup Announcement

The initial wave of artists was revealed in November, with Olivia Rodrigo being named the first confirmed headliner for 2025. Other notable acts included Girl In Red, Kings Of Leon, Noah Kahan, Benson Boone, Amyl And The Sniffers, and CMAT.

Following that, Barry Can’t Swim, Finneas, Dead Poets Society, and Foster The People also joined the roster.

In the latest updates from the festival, it has been confirmed that Geordie singer-songwriter and guitarist Sam Fender is joining the line-up. He is set to make his festival debut on the NOS main stage on July 11th.

His addition comes as he prepares to release his eagerly awaited third album, People Watching, scheduled for release on February 21st via Polydor. You can pre-order/save here.

New Album and Upcoming Shows

The album was initially announced in November along with the title track ‘People Watching,’ and Fender also revealed details of some of the UK’s largest stadium shows this summer.

The second new artist confirmed for NOS Alive 2025 is American indie rock trio Bright Eyes. Conor Oberst and his bandmates are scheduled to make their debut at the festival on July 12, taking the Heineken stage.

The announcement for Bright Eyes follows their recent release of their tenth studio album, Five Dice, All Threes, which came out last year.

Fender’s UK headline tour is set to kick off with his biggest-ever show at London Stadium on June 6th, followed by performances in his native Newcastle at St James’s Park on June 12th, 14th, and 15th. The venue has a capacity of 52,000, and these shows will break the record for the most headline performances at St James’s Park—a title previously held by The Rolling Stones. Remaining tickets can be purchased here.

Recently, Fender’s concert in Leeds received a four-star review from NME, noting: “There’s no radical shake-up of the setlist, but rather a sense of confidence in sticking to the powerful approach that has served him well.”

“While tonight’s performance confirms that the People Watching material will have to earn its place, a well-executed blend of old and new could elevate Sam Fender’s career to new heights. Glastonbury, anyone?”

For Bright Eyes, the NOS Alive performance marks one of their first confirmed gigs since the band canceled all 2024 dates due to frontman Conor Oberst losing his voice.
