Moreish Idols Unveil Debut Album ‘All In The Game’ and Release Lead Single ‘Dream Pixel’

Debut album announcement

Morish idols have unveiled that their debut album “It’s all in the game” will be released on March 7 through Speedy Wunderground. In conjunction with this announcement, the band has also released a new single titled “Dream Pixel.”

About the upcoming album

Originating from Falmouth, the band’s debut album follows their earlier singles ‘Pale Blue Dot’ and ‘Slouch,’ with ‘Pale Blue Dot’ marking Speedy Wunderground’s 50th 7-inch single. The album has been produced by co-founder Dan Carey.

When discussing the new track, the band shared: “Dream Pixel is about what we all see in our dreams; colors, sounds, and events that often feel too surreal to articulate, prompting reflection on how the subconscious can create such vivid psychedelic imagery. Drawing inspiration from the sensation of floating in phosphorescence in Cornwall, ‘Dream Pixel’ highlights moments that might easily be mistaken for dreams, glitches, or journeys.”

The album delves into themes of existentialism, memory, and illness. Bassist Caspar Swindells elaborates that “Everything’s in the Game” explores “time spent, time wasted, and time slipping away, while also recognizing that our perception of time is something we shape ourselves.”

The band, featuring vocalists-guitarists Tom Kellett and Jude Lilley, drummer Saul Lamy, and saxophonist Dylan Humphries, is set to support the album’s release with an accompanying tour.
