Sandman writer Neil Gaiman’s ex-wife Amanda Palmer has made a statement to NME regarding the allegations against him reported by New York Magazine. Gaiman has denied these accusations in a statement on his website.

Amanda Palmer’s Response

In a comment requested by NME, a representative for Palmer stated: “While Ms. Palmer is deeply concerned by allegations that Mr. Gaiman abused multiple women, her primary focus remains the well-being of her son. Therefore, to protect his privacy, she will not comment on these allegations.”

Palmer elaborated on Instagram shortly after, stating, “As the custody and divorce process continues, I am unable to comment publicly. Please understand that I am a parent first and foremost. I request privacy at this time.”

Palmer, a renowned singer, songwriter, and performance artist who was once part of The Dresden Dolls, first encountered Gaiman in 2008. They tied the knot in 2011 but announced their divorce in 2022, having a son together.
