Lala Hayden Delves into Contemporary Romance with Her Latest Dance-Pop Hit “Rush of Love.”

Lala Hayden returns with new music

Lala Hayden is back with her first new music of 2025, sharing a danceable pop single “tide of love.”

Collaboration and creative vision

On the new track, the British-Spanish artist collaborated with producer Ben Christophers, renowned for his work with Bat For Lashes and Françoise Hardy. The song features bassist Armin Metz, who has previously partnered with Imogen Heap.

“The rush of love refers to the excitement you feel when you fall in love with someone. I feel like it’s the highest form of dopamine, but I believe we as a society are experiencing dopamine overload—there’s a numbness that sets in, and this feeling is getting harder and harder to achieve because we’re so overstimulated,” Hayden explains. “I think having access to excessive information, pornography, and Hollywood happy endings has heightened expectations of love, as well as the urge to escape when we face challenges. It’s so easy to label someone as ‘toxic’ and seek someone else instead of looking within. This song reflects on the loneliness present in love and social circles, where we often prefer to talk rather than listen and ask questions. It’s an ode to the complexity of modern love and connection in the digital age.”
