Bdrmm releases new single
Bdrmm has unveiled a new single “Infinity Peak”, which serves as the latest glimpse into their forthcoming third album, Microtonic, set to be released via Rock Action on February 28th.
Evolution of the band
The new track showcases the band’s progression, with their new direction being partially influenced by support from Daniel Avery and an experience at Field Day.
“Infinity Peak perfectly mirrors the band we have been and the band we are becoming, striking that delicate balance between shoegaze and electronica,” shares guitarist and vocalist Ryan Smith. “I wrote it while in Malaga, marking the first time I didn’t pen a song in a dark bedroom. I feel it captures a vibe akin to The Durutti Column’s ‘Hotel on the Lake’ from 1990. This track radiates true joy (despite its lyrics) and was a delight to work on in the studio. We felt free to experiment, especially with the extended middle section. There’s a special joy when we gather around the studio floor, eager to try out the latest pedal we’ve acquired.”
The new ten-track album was created alongside co-writer Alex Greaves and features contributions from Working Men’s Club’s Sydney Minsky Sargeant and Nightbus’ Olivesque. “Microtonic” follows their 2023 release “I Don’t Know.”
