Miley Cyrus expresses sorrow over wildfires
Miley Cyrus has voiced her sadness over the devastation caused by the wildfires in Los Angeles.
The pop star, who experienced the loss of her Malibu home in the 2018 Woolsey fire, shared a poignant image of her home on the Miley Cyrus Foundation’s Instagram account.
“Today this image hit me hard in my heart. This is a photo of my porch taken in 2018 after our home was lost in the Woolsey Fire. It’s a feeling you’ll never forget,” she captioned the post. “Walking up to the door that you walk through every day, expecting to be greeted by those you love as you always do, but instead you are greeted by a pile of ash and rubble.”
She added: “My heart aches for those who are personally experiencing this devastation, and I cry for my city. It’s heartbreaking. Los Angeles represents ‘living the dream,’ but today’s reality is ruin and destruction.”
