Joe Bonamassa Ensures Protection of His Extensive Vintage Guitar Collection from Los Angeles Wildfires

Joe Bonamassa’s Vintage Guitars Saved

Joe Bonamassa has confirmed that his extensive collection of vintage guitar equipment—one of the largest globally—was successfully protected from the Los Angeles wildfires.

Threat of Wildfires

Concerns about the safety of his collection emerged yesterday (January 9) after Bonamassa posted a picture from one of his museums in Nerdville, which also features one of the world’s largest assortments of vintage electric and acoustic guitars, amidst ongoing forest fires in the city.

“It is no longer in my hands,” he expressed. “It’s incredibly challenging to be a curator. This collection represents my entire life’s work. I anticipated this day would eventually arrive, but not today. Fortunately, everything is okay tonight, but the situation remains highly unstable.

“A massive thank you goes out to the firefighters and first responders for their efforts over the past few days. Please take care, Los Angeles. These are uncertain and unprecedented times.”

The post featured a photo of Nerdville’s sign along with a glimpse of some of his guitars stored in a garage. According to Los Angeles Times, an evacuation zone has been designated around Laurel Canyon Boulevard, Mulholland Drive, and Hollywood Boulevard.
