IDER self-reflect with new single “Attachment Theory” in anticipation of their third album

New Single Release

IDR has unveiled their latest single “Attachment Theory” from their upcoming third album, Late To The World, set to be released on February 21st.

About The Track

This new song follows their previous releases, including “Know How It Hurts”, “Unlearn”, “Girl”, and “You Don’t Know How To Drive”. The track is paired with a 16mm video filmed in London by Basha De Bruyne.

“We wrote Attachment Theory after a friend prompted us to create a song about attachment styles,” the duo explains. “It seems like everyone is intrigued by this concept and engaging in self-diagnosis, so we decided to pen a confessional song about our own experiences. On a deeper level, it addresses the anxiety of being characterized by how one loves and the intense wish to alter that perception.”

Regarding the video, they comment: “We collaborated with our friend and director Basha De Bruyne to create the video for Attachment Theory. The concept was straightforward – we express our emotions and “live life” in daily moments, filmed in London and at Meg’s apartment to deliver the song’s authentic message. Utilizing 16mm film contributed to making the final visual outcome and filming experience as genuine as possible.”
