Own a Piece of Football History
A new auction provides Newcastle United fans with the opportunity to acquire a piece of football history as the shirts worn by the team during their League Cup quarter-final victory at St James’ Park are now available for purchase.
The shirts boast a custom design honoring the North Shields-born singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Each one has been worn in a match or released and signed by players like Alexander Isak, Bruno Guimarães, and Joelinton.
Proceeds from the auction, hosted on MatchWornShirt, will support the Newcastle United Foundation, benefitting local community initiatives in the North East that focus on promoting education, opportunities, health, and social inclusion for young people and families.
Each shirt includes a personalized digital Certificate of Authenticity, and bidding is now open. The auction will continue until January 19, and you can click here to place a bid and find further information.
Celebrating New Music
Fender’s charity initiative coincides with the launch of his highly anticipated third album, *People Watching*, releasing on February 21st via Polydor. Pre-order/save it here.
The album was crafted by Fender along with his bandmates Dean Thompson and Joe Atkinson, and produced by Markus Dravs alongside Adam Granducel from War on Drugs.
He first hinted about collaborating with them back in March 2024, sharing footage of their time together in the studio with producers, engineers, and fellow musicians. Later, in October, Fender confirmed that the new album was complete and “mastered.” This will be his first album since his sophomore release, *Seventeen Going Under* in 2021.
