The new track from South London artist NME features as the latest sneak peek of her eagerly awaited album, Glutton For Punishment, set to be released on February 7 via Speedy Wunderground.
This single, complete with a music video directed by her frequent collaborator Gilbert Trejo, follows “Warplane” and continues to celebrate the singer’s fascination with warplanes.
“You have the intentions of a bird/Teach me your logistics to fly like this/You came to me so suddenly/Now you’re here and I love it“, she begins singing as the track unfolds. “I don’t have time to tell you what I want to hear/That’s why I close both my ears/Your intentions are the bird I fear.“

Insights on the Upcoming Album
Discussing her forthcoming album, the artist (real name JoJo Orme) expressed her desire to push beyond the boundaries of her well-received 2023 EP, A Comforting Notion.
“Because of my EP, people kind of categorized me as post-punk,” she shared. “I thought, ‘Cool, I can do that, but I can do so much more’ – I can do post-punk, but I can also be pop and catchy, and this album represents that. I think people might be surprised when they hear that.”
Produced by longtime collaborator Dan Carey, the album aims to honor artists like Depeche Mode, PJ Harvey, and LCD Soundsystem, resulting in what the press release describes as “a powerful sonic onslaught that is entirely Heartworms.”
Featuring nine songs, it will delve into themes of broken families, tumultuous relationships, and chaos. “We’re all so drawn to punish ourselves, and I’m always drawn to sing about it and think about it,” Orme remarked. Pre-order the album here.
