Gordon Mokes’ band The None Announces New EP ‘Care’ and Releases Teaser Single ‘On Automatic’

New EP Announcement

No has unveiled their upcoming EP “CARE”, set to drop on Bandcamp on February 14, alongside a new single titled “On Automatic.”

About the Recording Process

The band, comprising bassist Gordon Mokes (Block Party, Young Legionnaire), vocalist Kai White (Blue Root, Youth), guitarist Jim Beck (Cassels), and drummer Chris Francombe (Frauds), recorded this four-track collection live with minimal overdubs.

Discussing their new single ‘On Automatic’, the band shared: “When we started writing this single, there was some uncertainty. We worried that the main riff might come off as too ‘jock rocky.’ Thankfully, Gordon and Chris introduced some interesting elements that shifted the mood and created tension. Once Kai added the vocals, it quickly turned into one of our favorite pieces to perform live.”

Guitarist Jim added, “I think we only had three or four rehearsals with Kai before we recorded our first EP. It was pretty straightforward then. This time, we have a much clearer understanding of who we are as a band and the sound we want to achieve.”
