Ryder and the band are scheduled to perform two shows at the Cavern Club next Sunday (January 19), although Gallagher’s participation in these dates has not been confirmed.
The Oasis and High Flying Birds singer-songwriter described Mantra Of The Cosmos as “Dylan, Dali, and Ginsberg taking a rocket ship to the moon to hang out with the Clangers.”
Regarding “Domino Bones,” named after Bez’s inaugural band, Starkey characterized the six-minute psychedelic track as “Free Bird” for mods, referencing the Lynyrd Skynyrd classic.
Gallagher provides the vocals for the chorus, while Ryder delivers the verses. Starkey contributed to the track by playing drums, bass, guitar, and keyboards, with Bell showcasing an extended guitar solo.
Starkey remarked: “It's not every day that the greatest songwriter of my generation—not to mention Sean, the greatest beat poet of our time—sends me a tune, and I was petrified for a while because that's not what you want. screw up! Everything turned out great – everyone loved it!
“Noel loves Sean. He texted me: “You know what you have?” British Bob Dylan – and he doesn't care because now I've seen what Sean does. Noel refers to him as “the king of lyrics.”
Upcoming Performances at the Cavern
Regarding Mantra's forthcoming shows at the Cavern Club, made famous by his father Ringo Starr and The Beatles, Starkey expressed: “I can't believe I've never even been there. There's a lot of family heritage in The Cave, not to mention the Beatles who were courted by my parents there… who knows, I might have even been conceived there!
