BBGirls Reveal Upcoming Single “Love 2” Set for Release Next Week

BBGirls return with new single

BBGirls (formerly known as Brave Girls) have announced their return to music with a new single titled “Love 2”, set to release next week.

Details of the new release

On January 5, the group shared the announcement of their new album along with a teaser on their social media platforms. “Love 2” is scheduled for release on January 15 at 6:00 p.m. KST, though additional details, including the tracklist, have yet to be disclosed.

“Love 2” marks the trio’s first release in nearly a year and a half, following their last project “One More Time” in August 2023. This will also be their first project since Yoojung’s departure from the group last year, leaving Minyoung, Eunji, and Yuna to continue as a trio.

Contract changes and new beginnings

The upcoming release of “Love 2” will also be the K-pop girl group’s first project since their contracts with Warner Music Korea ended in April 2024. At that time, the label stated, “Both Warner Music Korea and BBGirls agreed to mutually respect their opinions and conclude their exclusive relationship after one year.”

Following their departure from Warner Music Korea, the group established their own independent label, BB Girls Company, and subsequently signed exclusive contracts with GLG Entertainment to continue their activities starting December 2024.

In other K-pop news, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon announced her upcoming 2025 tour titled “The Tense”, which begins in March with a three-day event at Seoul’s KSPO Dome. The singer will then perform in several other Asian cities, including Taipei, Manila, Singapore, Bangkok, and more until June.
