Fans Speculate That Wallows Are Dropping New Music Soon

Wallows Fans Speculate About New Music

Wallows fans are buzzing with excitement, believing the band may be teasing new music.

Mysterious Billboards in Major Cities

The speculation kicked off when billboards featuring the band’s signature font and the distinctive dark orange hue from their social media icons appeared in New York and Chicago.

These billboards state: “New favorite song. Released January 10th.” Each one also includes the web address yournewfavoritesong.co, which directs to a newsletter sign up page alongside the message “more to come.”

Fans who spotted the billboards took to social media, sharing their enthusiasm. One fan exclaimed, “I walked past this and stopped in my tracks. I AM SO EXCITED,” while another declared, “DID YOU SEE THE NEW POSTER IN CHICAGO? SET UP YOUR CALENDARS!”

Recent Album and Tour Plans

Wallows’ most recent album, Model, was released last year and received a three-star review from NME, describing it as “indie pop that stays in the comfort zone.”

The review further noted: “Then ‘Model’ seems a bit too safe for a band that has been around for so long and is simultaneously planning on playing some of their biggest shows yet has yet to truly make their mark on the indie scene. Maybe the songs on ‘Model’ they thought would thrive in these spaces, but you can’t help but feel like there were risks that had to be taken.”

In other news, Wallows will support My Chemical Romance on July 26 in Los Angeles as part of their 2025 US stadium tour for promoting their 2006 album “The Black Parade.” You can find the full list of tour dates here to purchase tickets.

Meanwhile, frontman Dylan Minnette has opened up about his decision to leave acting in favor of music. He first gained fame starring in the hit series 13 Reasons Why, which led him to reassess his career direction.

“I was lucky enough to have success in acting,” he shared during an interview on The Zach Sang Show.

“I was on 13 Reasons Why and it was really popular and definitely reached the peak of my acting skills. But it also started to feel like a bit of work. I was very lucky, I always had fun, it was always very inspiring, but then it just started to feel like just a job.”

He expressed his ambition to push the band “as far as possible,” saying, “I feel like I’m in a position now where I can just do this for a while and get as far as I can. The only way this will happen is if I put 100% of my time and energy into it and take it very seriously and show the world that we all take this very seriously.”
