Film Insights and Upcoming Roles
The artist, who is set to take on various acting roles in several forthcoming films, spent a good portion of her Christmas holiday watching multiple movies and sharing her perspectives on them through the film’s social media platform, mailbox.
Among the films she reviewed, Contenders, Conclave, and Nosferatu received a five-star rating from her. She also expressed her appreciation for Anora.
Additionally, she remarked that the Bob Dylan biopic featured an abundance of songs. The film Complete Unknown starring Timothée Chalamet caught her attention, where she noted that Martha Stewart is “not normal” after viewing her latest Netflix documentary, Martha.
Charli’s other favorite films include classics from 1995 such as Addiction, the 2000s hit Charlie’s Angels, the 1974 film Céline and Julie Go Boating, and the 1935 classic Bride of Frankenstein.
This comes as she has recently been cast in the role of Gallery Owner in the upcoming movie Birds of Prey, directed by Cathy Yan, alongside notable actors like Jenna Ortega, Natalie Portman, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Sterling K. Brown, Zach Galifianakis, Daniel Brühl, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
News from last month confirmed her involvement in Sacrifice, the English-language debut film by French director Romain Gavras. She will co-star with Anya Taylor-Joy (Furiosa), Chris Evans (Avengers: Endgame), Vincent Cassel (Black Swan), and Ambika Mod (One Day).
Busy Year Ahead
This follows her impressive performance as both a host and performer on Saturday Night Live in November, where she showcased tracks from her latest album and won over fans with her humor and on-screen presence, even impressing Adele in a skit.
Additionally, Charli received another Grammy nomination for Best Recording Package, which brings her total to eight nominations for the upcoming awards, including Record of the Year for “360” and Album of the Year for her culturally significant album “Brat.”
Looking ahead, Charli is set for a busy year in 2025. Confirmed as the headliner for Parklife next year, she will also take the stage at London’s LIDO festival for an unforgettable performance. Moreover, she is scheduled to play two outdoor concerts in Belfast and Dublin, perform at Coachella 2025, and she has announced a US tour for April and May. Remaining tickets can be purchased here.
