Netflix to Premiere “Beyoncé’s Christmas Halftime Show” as a Standalone Special This Week.

If you missed Beyoncé's NFL 2024 Christmas Halftime Show, there’s no need to worry, as it will soon be available as a standalone special on Netflix.

On Christmas Day (December 25), Beyoncé headlined the NFL Christmas Game Halftime Show in her hometown of Houston, Texas, performing songs from her 2024 album “Cowboy Carter” live for the first time.

The event was streamed live on Netflix, with replays available shortly after in the US and up to 24 hours later worldwide. Fortunately for fans who couldn't watch the performance before it was taken down, Netflix has confirmed that the Halftime Show – now referred to as the Beyoncé Bowl – will be released as a standalone special on the streaming platform later this week.

As per a press release, the Beyoncé Bowl will be available to stream on Netflix soon, although a specific date and time have yet to be announced. However, the special already has a dedicated page on the Netflix platform, and fans can set reminders for when it will air.

The press release indicates that the special will only include Beyoncé's performance and will likely not provide a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the show.

During the show, she solely performed songs from “Cowboy Carter” – marking her first live performance of tracks from the album since its release.

During the set, which lasted less than 13 minutes, Queen Bey was joined by notable artists including Shaboosie, Post Malone, Rayna Roberts, Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, and Tiera Kennedy. She also featured her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, who joined her on stage to dance to “Texas Hold'em.”

To kick off what fans are calling the “best Super Bowl performance of all time, and it wasn't even the Super Bowl”, Beyoncé performed “16 Carriages.” Other songs included “Blackbird,” “YA YA,” “My House,” “Jolene,” and more. She collaborated with Post Malone for “Levii's Jeans” and Shaboozey for “Sweet Honey Buckiin.”

After concluding her performance, Beyoncé took to social media to announce something for January 14, 2025. Fans speculated this could be a tour announcement in honor of “Cowboy Carter,” while others suggested it might preview the third act of the Renaissance trilogy.

“Cowboy Carter” received a five-star rating from NME upon its release, with reviewer Jenessa Williams stating: “Even interpreted only in terms of artistic spectacle, it's an undeniable delight to see her so involved in a project that forces her to be so intimate and vocal, making way for country newcomers too.”

The album ranked seventh in NME‘s list of the 50 Best Albums of 2024, while “16 Carriages” was named the eighth best song of the year.

In other Beyoncé news, she became the most nominated artist in Grammy history this past November. Having previously tied with Jay-Z at 88 nominations each, she has since received an impressive 11 nominations for next year's Grammys, all for “Cowboy Carter.” She now holds a record 99 nominations and broke the record for most Grammy wins in 2023, collecting a total of 32 trophies.
