In the same press release, it was announced that 2025 will also feature “a look back at Springsteen’s legendary recording career, including never-before-heard material.” However, the specifics regarding the eras of the songs or their release formats remain undisclosed.
In 1998, Springsteen released “Tracks,” a four-disc box set showcasing 66 songs, many of which had not been publicly available before, alongside B-sides, demos, and alternate versions of earlier releases.
Next year will also commemorate the 50th anniversary of Springsteen’s iconic album “Born To Run.” This landmark album significantly elevated his career, featuring hits like “Thunder Road,” “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out,” “Backstreets,” and “Jungleland.” Additionally, 2025 marks the 45th anniversary of his 1980 double album “The River,” the 30th anniversary of the Grammy Award-winning “The Ghost of Tom Joad,” and the 20th anniversary of the 2005 album “Devils & Dust.”
The press release also disclosed that The Boss will continue to star in his forthcoming biopic. Deliver Me Out of Nowhere, featuring Jeremy Allen White as ’80s-era Springsteen, will detail the recording of his 1982 album “Nebraska.” Disney’s 20th Century Studios is producing the film, which will primarily be shot in Springsteen’s home state of New Jersey and in New York.
Just last month, the “Born In The USA” artist was seen visiting White on set while filming a scene at a car dealership in Bayonne, New Jersey.
In other updates, Springsteen’s 2024 tour with The E Street Band has emerged as one of the world’s top 10 highest-grossing music tours, generating an impressive $251.3 million in revenue.
The musician recently addressed claims circulating earlier this year about him being a billionaire, stating, “I wish I was.”
