The Velveteers Take on Music Industry Misogyny with Their New Single “On And On”

Marigold releases new single

Marigold has unveiled their latest single, “More and more.”

Upcoming album details

This track is part of their newly announced album. “A Million Knives” is set to launch on Easy Eye Sound early next year.

The Colorado trio’s latest offering features Nick Bockrath from Cage Elephant on guitar and is produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. Featuring frontman Demi Demitro, they were supported by two drummers, Baby Pottersmith and Johnny Fig.

“On And On is a song about kissing predatory men in the music scene,” explains Demitro. “I always wonder if the day will come when I stop writing about this topic, but unfortunately, misogyny is too rampant in the music industry, and I refuse to accept it. We aimed for a heavy sound while drawing inspiration from pop artists like Lady Gaga, incorporating drum machines into our style.”
