The event took place during the 13th annual SMooCH concert, which supported the Seattle Children’s Hospital Uncompensated Care Fund.
Held at the Showbox in Seattle on December 14, the evening also made headlines as it featured surviving Soundgarden members Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron, and Ben Shepherd reuniting for a performance under the name Nudedragons, an anagram of the original title.
They were joined by Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan for the last two songs.
For Sebadoh, this marked their first stage appearance together in five years, coming together for a special performance to raise funds for the hospital.
Their set included captivating renditions of songs like “Not Too Amused”, “Two Years Two Days”, “Beauty Of The Ride”, and more. Founding member Lou Barlow also offered some behind-the-scenes glimpses of the event, including a memorable encounter with Kim Thayil.
“The growth of Soundgarden has been exciting for us, and I was thrilled to make this connection,” he wrote in the caption.
“(Then) Kim introduced me to this guy: Bubba Dupree… from VOID,” he added. “VOID was literally a fucking bomb that blew our collective minds and inspired us to put it all together in our own way, throwing aside the stylistic limitations of punk and making anything possible. I was really shocked to meet this guy, and he took my secret praise well.”

As for Soundgarden, they performed under the same band name they used at the event in 2010 when they reunited for their first show since 1997.
The show opened with singer Shaina Shepherd, featuring four Soundgarden tracks: “Hunted Down”, “Outshined”, “Flower”, and “Beyond The Wheel.” For the final two songs, McKagan joined, covering Soundgarden’s “Kickstand” and concluding the nearly 30-minute set with MC5’s “Kick Out The Jams.”
According to the website, the band’s performance was described as a “brief encore.” The three surviving members have reunited only twice since the death of frontman Chris Cornell in 2017. They previously appeared together at a tribute show for Cornell in 2019 and again in 2021 alongside Brandi Carlile.
