Max George hospitalized
Wanted star Max George has disclosed that he was hospitalized after tests showed “issues” with his heart.
Sharing his experience
The “Glad You Came” singer posted a photo on his Instagram account of himself in a hospital bed, giving a thumbs up. He mentioned that he was admitted yesterday (December 12) after feeling “very unwell,” leading to tests that confirmed a heart problem.
“I have a lot more tests to go through to determine the extent of the problems and what kind of surgery I will need to get back on my feet,” he wrote in his post’s caption. “It’s going to be a tough few weeks/months… and spending Christmas in a hospital bed wasn’t exactly my plan! But, as always, I am surrounded by love and support from my wonderful partner Macy, her family, my family, and friends… and I am 100 percent in a better place.”

He added, “Although this is a huge shock and undoubtedly a setback, I will give it my all! I consider myself fortunate that this was discovered in time. I apologize if I bore you with updates in the upcoming weeks… I’ve probably been in bed for a month with not much to do! Let’s do this!”
His The Wanted bandmate Siva Kaneswaran voiced his support in the comments, writing, “Here it is for you, brother. Rest and get well soon.”
JLS’ Marvin Humes also sent his wishes, commenting: “I’m sorry to hear you’re not feeling well, man… you’re strong and you’ll fight… much love mate,” while his bandmate JB Gill added: “I wish you a speedy recovery.”
The Wanted, featuring George, Kaneswaran, Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuinness, and Tom Parker, gained fame in early 2010, best known for their hit single “Glad You Came,” which topped the UK singles chart and reached number 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming their only top ten hit in the US.
The group announced a hiatus in 2014 but made a comeback in 2022, this time as a duo consisting of George and Kaneswaran.
In March 2022, The Wanted member Tom Parker passed away at the age of 33 after battling brain cancer.
