Lisa Reveals Blackpink is “in the studio” Working on a New Album

K-POP icons are set to reunite for their 2025 tour, which will take place in stadiums across the UK, North America, Europe, and Asia. The final stop of the tour will be at Wembley Stadium in London, marking a significant milestone as they become the first girl group in K-POP history to headline this venue. On the eve of the show, Lisa mentioned that the new album will be released “soon,” in a recent interview with Diversity, stating, “In fact, we were in the studio a few days ago,” she told the publication.

“We are all so excited to be back together and hit the road. We really miss our Blink fans. We cannot wait to see them.”

The upcoming LP will be their third, continuing from their previous album, Born Pink, released in 2022. As of now, a specific release date has not been confirmed. “You have to be patient with this,” Lisa added. “It’s coming soon, I promise. The time has come.”

Since BLACKPINK’s debut, Lisa made her acting debut in White Lotus Season 3 and recently performed at the 2025 Oscars to pay tribute to the James Bond franchise, alongside Ray and Doja Cat. Actress Margaret Qualley also graced the stage during the performance.

Additionally, she released her debut solo album “Alter Ego,” which NME rated with three stars, stating: “The album is eclectic, bold, and sometimes a bit lost in its own vision. If this alter ego attempts to portray various characters, perhaps the real Lisa will eventually shine through. When she finds her footing, she will be unstoppable.”

As for her BLACKPINK bandmates, Jennie released her debut solo album “Ruby” in March, Rosé released “R” in December, and Jisoo dropped her mini-album “Me” in early February.
