This week, Guns N’ Roses has announced its world tour, kicking off with their first show featuring the new drummer Isaac Carpenter – see shots below.

Details of the First Show

On Thursday (May 1), the premiere at Festival Park in Icheon Park took place, with the quote, “Because what you want and what you get are two completely different things.”

This was the first performance for AXL Rose and Co. since November 2023, and the first since their split with drummer Frank Ferrer, who has been replaced by Isaac Carpenter from Awolnation.

The new tour was announced in December, with dates set for Europe and the Middle East later this summer – see the full list of dates here and find the remaining tickets here.

Setlist Highlights

A set of 22 songs featured music from their legendary career, including classic hits such as “Welcome to the Jungle,” performed live for the first time since 2012, along with “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “November Rain.”

Shortly after his departure from the band, Ferrer expressed his disappointment in leaving. “The outpouring of love I received from the incredible fans of Guns N’ Roses and my peers in the last 24 hours was overwhelming,” he wrote.

“I will always have immense gratitude and love for AXL and the band, while also feeling disappointed that this chapter has reached its conclusion. These were incredible 19 years that provided me with memories and life-changing experiences.”

In related news, former band manager Alan Niven claimed that Rose is currently taking 50 percent of the band’s income and “wants to control everything.” He also alleged that Slash and Izzy Stradlin once consumed an entire cache of drugs to evade a bust at the airport during their first tour of Japan.

GNR was also added to the lineup for the final concert of the Black Sabbath reunion at Villa Park in Birmingham on Saturday, July 5.
