New Single Release
Sugababes has unveiled an official video for their latest single “Weeds”, which has been released under their own label and features a garden theme.
Collaboration and Inspiration
For this new track, Sugababes teamed up with producer John Sheva, recognized for his Grammy-winning contributions to Charli XCX’s album, alongside the talented songwriters, including Anya Jones.
“Weeds symbolize growth in all its forms,” Sugababes explains. “We aim to convey the message of being seen, nurtured, and loved into who you are meant to be. The video was designed to illustrate this concept—how something small and unexpected can emerge, take root, and blossom into something beautiful.”
Director Jamma Yin shares: “Our vision was to craft a stunning video with a mixed media spectacle infused with an ethereal quality to complement the magnificent single. Drawing from various texts, we aimed to evoke the feeling of ‘embracing the power of nature’—the meticulously crafted visual effects lend an otherworldly and surreal ambiance.”
