“Koko,” named after “Keep on Hearn On,” features the single “Ragdoll,” which includes a guest appearance by Chad Kroeger from Nickelback. The band gained traction when they supported “How You Remind Me of Rockers” during the British and European arena tour last year. Other guests on the album include Frank Turner, Shed Seven, and Reverend and The Makers.

A band from Big Manchester includes members Lee, Robert Lally, Katie Lloyd, and Joe Singleton. Regarding their album “Koko” reaching the top of the charts, they expressed: “Koko” is officially the No. 1 album in the UK! It took a lot of effort, but every bit was worth it. The emotions are overwhelming. We are incredibly grateful for everyone’s support of our album.

“To go back in time and inform our 12-year-old selves that we would achieve two number one albums is simply amazing. This is for the masses. This is for the working class. This is for anyone with a dream—catch it and pursue it!”

Last year, frontman Tom Rilant discussed with NME his regret for starting a series with Kate Nash regarding the lack of representation of working-class individuals in the arts. Rilant tweeted that Nash should not claim to represent working-class musicians while criticizing her experience as a former student at a public school, which he mistakenly labeled as a private institution.

He later apologized to Nash, stating: “I’m sorry, sincerely. What Kate does is important, as it highlights the systemic issues working-class people face in the arts. The lack of access for working-class individuals is disproportionately affecting their voices.”
