This marks the first activity from the Yorkshire band since 2023, when they wrapped up their tour supporting their second studio album, Fear Fear, which included festival performances at Glastonbury and other locations.

On Friday (April 25), the group revealed on social media that they would be joining James Murphy and Co. for four shows at the O2 Academy Brixton on June 19, 20, 21, and 22.

Latest Updates from the Band

Fear Fear, the continuation of the group of the same name, received four stars from NME in 2022, which remarked, “Of course, this is a dizzying landscape, but in recent years, a chaotic palette gives dignity and confusion that the working clubs faced.”

Meanwhile, the frontman of Working Men’s Club, Sidney Minsk Sarzhan, has started a new project, collaborating with producer Daniel Avery and James Greenwood, known for German culture. Their EP, titled the same, is set to release on May 30 through Domino.

Moreover, LCD Soundsystem is currently working on the follow-up to their 2017 album, American Dream. The new track “X-ray Eyes” was released in November last year, and the group’s fifth album is expected to arrive sometime this year.

LCD Soundsystem had previously taken over the O2 Brixton Academy for a six-day residency in 2022. In addition, they are set to appear at the All Points East Festival in 2024 after a triumphant performance on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury. The band concluded their year with the famed New York residency, “Winter function,” and still have several dates left in their current U.S. tour, alongside multiple European festival appearances, including Primavera Sound in Barcelona and We Love Green in Paris.

The U.S. tour has been extended and will now run until August, with a special pair of joint headline shows with Pulp at the Hollywood Bowl in September.
