First Group Representing the UK
The trio in the poplance of the Laren Burn, Holly-Enn Hall, and Charlotte Steal, are the first group of girls to represent the UK since the previous ones secured 12th place in 1999. Since then, the UK has only cracked the top 10 three times.
In March last year, the group released “What the hell has just happened?”, which later became their first song to gather more than a million streams on Spotify.
Release of Husavik Cover
Earlier today (April 25), they released the cover “Husavik (my hometown)”, a song written for the 2020 comedy film, performed by its star, Will Ferrell, and Molly Sanden, who voiced the character played by Rachel MacAdams. As a film, the music video for “Husavik (my hometown)” was shot in an Icelandic city.
“We have never seen anywhere as beautiful with our own eyes! It was the most emotional moment for us the second we left; we cried because it was just the most incredible experience,” the group shared in a press statement. “This cover is special for us, as it makes us think about our hometown and reflects our long-standing friendship. The song feels quite nostalgic, and we often feel that way in relation to our bond.” Watch it below.

The trio has been singing together since they met in the sixth form in 2012. They competed in The Voice of the UK in 2019, gained significant traction on TikTok during the pandemic, and toured the UK last year.
“What the hell has happened?” features the influence of Queen, with glam rock guitars and powerful drums, along with their signature vocal harmony, following previous singles like last year’s “laughter about this” and “what for girls.”
Remember on Monday will compete in the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest, which will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on May 17.
To prepare for the competition, the group told NME that they “have an agreement with our entire team – around 30 people made this deal – that if we finish in the top five, everyone will get ‘What the hell?’ tattoos.”
