Details of the Upcoming Album
Criss appeared in a recent episode of Kissfaq, the fan community show, where he shared the exciting news. “I have an announcement,” Criss states in the video below. “I have my new Rock and Roll album to share with you, Kiss Army guys, which will be released this fall. I really hope you like it, dude. And I want to say that God will bless each of you.”
While Peter Criss did not divulge specific details about the album, he was accompanied by longtime Kiss fan and historian Julian Jill, who provided additional insights into the project.

Jill revealed that he has heard the Criss album, describing it as a “hard rock, kick-ass album,” produced by Barry Pointer. Reports suggest that the upcoming Catman album will feature contributions from musicians such as John 5, guitarist of Mötley Crüe, Mr. Big bassist Billy Sheehan, Paul Schaffer, Mike McCready, and many others.
“I am so excited for the release, and I think that Kiss fans will love this album. The drum sound from Peter is absolutely immense, and his vocals are powerful. Barry’s production is stunning, and Peter has an incredible group of musicians and background vocalists behind him,” Jill added.
The release date for the upcoming Criss album has not yet been announced, but it is anticipated to arrive sometime between September and November. His last solo album was the 2007 release, “One for All.”
Peter Criss founded Kiss in the early 1970s, publishing an announcement seeking experienced musicians to join him in forming a new group in Rolling Stone magazine. Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons responded to the ad, with Ace Frehley joining soon after.
Criss remained with the band until his exit in 1980 but later reunited with KISS in 1996 during their initial reunion. He stayed with the group until his permanent departure in 2004.
Criss and Frehley attempted to persuade Gene Simmons to allow them to return for their final shows in 2023, but their requests were declined. Both members rejoined the group in 2014 to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
KISS Farewell Tour Updates
Meanwhile, KISS recently announced an upcoming show in Las Vegas, marking their first performance since concluding their extensive farewell tour in December 2023 at Madison Square Garden.
The new date coincides with the celebration of the KISS Army’s 50th anniversary, taking place over a three-day event in Nevada from November 14 to 16, dubbed Kiss Army Storms Vegas. Reports indicate that Stanley and Gene Simmons will perform “unmasked” and “exposed.” Two special guests are expected to join them, though their identities have yet to be revealed.
In other news, Gene Simmons has postponed 17 dates of his upcoming solo tour scheduled for April and May. The tour was set to kick off at the Graton Resort & Casino in Rohnert Park, California, on April 5, but has now been postponed until “early 2026.” The official reason for the cancellation has not been disclosed, although his team confirmed that it is not related to any health issues.
