Yungblud’s New Single
Yungblud has released a new single titled “Lovesick Lullaby” – you can listen to it below.
The singer-songwriter from Doncaster, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, premiered this track during an intimate concert at the London Scala last month, alongside his epic nine-minute piece “Hello Heaven, Hello.”
About Lovesick Lullaby
Today (April 25), he has returned with a studio version of what is being described as the “impudent Antimpo anthem.” Discussing the inspiration behind “Lovesick Lullaby,” Harrison explained: “Creating this song was a wild party, and you can definitely hear that in the record.”
He elaborated: “(I tried) to let my subconscious process a lot of conversations, and then reflect on my thoughts the next day in the kitchen, nursing a hangover while eating fish and chips with a cup of tea.”
“I was on a journey, searching for meaning in various places around the world, for which I am always grateful. However, it felt like my feet were leaving the ground too much, and I had to reconnect with my roots in British music, art, and culture.”

It includes numerous references to pop culture, such as Yungblud posing in a chair while being blown away by the speaker’s power. Check out the link above for the premiere.
Yungblud recently shared insights about his upcoming new album, which is inspired by Britpop. He stated that he has “never felt clearer and has never been prouder” of what he has achieved.
In December last year, the musician spoke with NME and provided in-depth information about his projects, exclusively announcing that he has a “double album” in the works.
He stated: “The new album revolves around the themes of self-love and self-empowerment, enabling people to feel seen and radiate their true essence. You can be recognized for who you truly are, regardless of your background or beliefs… This is why I need to write this album.”

In March 2024, Yungblud spoke with NME about his next LP, which he described in the style of Britpop. He cited inspirations such as Oasis, The Verve, Primal Scream, My Chemical Romance, David Bowie, and Madonna.
Harrison noted that the mantra of this record will be about “coming together, looking into each other’s eyes, and being present,” as opposed to the perspective of “screw you, this is the world we must confront.”
