Upcoming Album Inspiration

Last week, Aitch announced his second album “4”, which he describes as a love letter to his hometown of Manchester. The British rapper, who has received accolades for his work, is set to release this much-anticipated follow-up to his 2022 debut, “Close to the House,” on June 20 through NQ Records/The Vorchard. Explaining the inspiration for the album, Aitch shared: “This album represents, first and foremost, my postal index. My postal code is M40, and for many years, since we were kids, we always used to throw up the number 4 when taking pictures. It was our thing; we always brought out the 4. So, as they say, these are the welcoming people at 4!”

“Although this album may not be as personal or vulnerable as ‘Close to the House,’ it showcases a different side of my creativity, where I express all these feelings and simply present my origins to the audience,” he added.

“As a representative of Manchester, I feel that many aspects often go unnoticed. The scene tends to focus heavily on London, so I’m here to break that narrative and highlight what’s happening in my city.”
