Positive Signs Ahead of Oasis Reunion

Yesterday (April 21), Liam took to X (formerly Twitter) to share that Noel and his nephews Donavan and Sonny visited him for a “Cup of Tea” on Easter Sunday – a promising sign ahead of the Oasis reunification this summer in light of the brothers’ history.

Liam wrote: “So, we had a biblical Easter Sunday, Noel Donavan and Sonny approached our cup of tea; it was absolutely incredible to meet young guvv, which I obviously blew up (their), because I was cool, as you heard it here.”

Upcoming Oasis Tour

The post came less than three months before Liam and Noel are set to reunite as Oasis for the first time since 2009 across the UK and Ireland, marking the beginning of numerous Oasis concerts worldwide. Liam’s positive update follows two months after he dismissed rumors of a meeting with Noel in February, labeling them “false news.”

Reports suggested that they were seen together at the Nobu Hotel near Hyde Park, with both of Liam’s sons spending an hour talking in a separate room. It’s said that they also met Oasis guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs before departing separately.

An anonymous source claimed that the brothers were in “much better conditions.” Nonetheless, Liam denied all reports as false, telling his followers on social media that the meeting never occurred. When asked about the alleged encounter on February 28, the singer bluntly replied: “Fake news.”

This is not the first time Liam has addressed rumors surrounding Oasis’s upcoming shows. Earlier in February, the Britpop icon debunked tabloid reports about wanting to purchase a “strange mansion” in the Cotswolds using earnings from the tour.

He also playfully reassured fans questioning the length of the upcoming performances, joking that they would last exactly “59 minutes and 59 seconds.”

As the monumental reunion tour approaches, sources close to the group informed NME that the lineup will include Andy Bell, Jam Archer, Bonehead, and Joey Voronker, alongside Noel and Liam Gallagher.

The tour kicks off in July and features stops at Heaton Park in Manchester, Wembley Stadium in London, Cardiff’s stadium, Dublin’s Croke Park, and Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh before heading abroad.

Australian indie act Ball Park Music is the latest addition to the lineup, confirmed to open for Oasis during their Australian shows later this year. Cast and Richard Ashcroft have been previously announced as special guests for the UK and Ireland concerts, while Cage The Elephant will support in North America and Mexico.
