Celebrating New Talents

London producer and DJ Sherelle this week (April 21) Cover has manifested its adherence to supporting new talents around the globe weekly. Each week, an emerging artist will be featured in Cover—you can read Sherelle’s profile here, written by Anis Ahmed and accompanied by a photograph from Sarah Luisu Bennett.

Sherelle has prepared an exclusive playlist titled “Sherelle does not feel like Cover,” showcasing the rich dance tracks of the era. The playlist includes songs from artists such as Pariah, Mount Kimbie, Kode9, DJ Rashad, Machinedrum, and Addison Groove, among others. Debut Album and Club Night

Earlier this month (April 9), Sherelle unexpectedly released her debut album “Revenge” and celebrated the launch with her affordable club night, Sherelleland, at the Roundhouse in London. “The club should not become a luxury,” she told NME during the night, where tickets were always available for just 10 pounds. “People simply cannot afford to go out. But (with Sherelleland), you can feel that many people are uplifted and truly have a great night.”

The producer, who has been releasing music since her debut EP “160 Down A406” in 2021, also discussed her artistic growth in Cover. “From Sherelle’s corporate identity perspective, I felt the need to refine it,” she explained. “I don’t want to create only the typical jungle melody. I didn’t want to rely solely on breaks for interruptions.”
