Release Details
The British rapper, awarded an award, will release the highly anticipated continuation of his debut from 2022, “Close to the House”, on June 20 via NQ Records/The Vorchard, and you can pre-order here.
The album features his recent single “Bounce” and follows his collaboration with fellow rapper Mankunian Bu in “Raving in the Studio” and his freestyle track “A Guy Called?”.
Explaining the inspiration for the album, Eich said: “This album represents, first and foremost, my mail index. My postal code is M40, and for many years, since we were children, whenever we took pictures, we always used to throw up 4. It was our thing; we always returned 4. So, as they say, these are welcoming people at 4!”
“Despite the fact that this album is not necessarily as personal or as vulnerable as ‘Close to the House’, this is just a completely different side of my brain, where I release all this, letting off vibrations and simply showing people what era I come from,” he added.
“Especially from Manchester, I feel that many things are sometimes hidden. Since the scene is very London-centric, we often overlook what’s happening here, so I aim to break this canvas and guide people to what is occurring in our area.”
The artwork for “4” features numerous images focused on Manchester, including the city bee emblem, the stands of Old Trafford Manchester United, and a street lane in the north of the city.

Upcoming Performances
Aich is also set to perform at the large weekend Radio 1 at Sefton Park in Liverpool, taking place from May 23 to 25. Other artists include Wolf Alice, Inhaler, Sam Fender, Blossoms, Lola Young, Wet Leg, Miles Smith, Tom Grennan, Biffy Clyro, a confident person, Barry Can’t Swim, Nia Archives, Katie B, and Bombs are still on Bill. You can find the remaining tickets here.
The rapper also made an unexpected appearance on a train last month, sending fans on a hunt by scattering tickets in northern England cities.
“Close to the House” received four stars from NME in 2022, which noted: “Having sought to follow the division of Joy, Oasis, and much more, firmly establishing Manchester on the international music map, Aych’s debut relies on local heritage but remains a dish heavily tied to the primal evil. With a ‘daring mask, slightly supported’ (if not entirely removed), and a more introduced approach initially, something truly resonates.”
