The label shared details about “Legend is it …,” a series of seven albums from New York’s finest in hip-hop, set to be released in 2025.

Upcoming Projects from Renowned Artists

This series will include a full joint album by NAS & DJ Premier, while Ghostface Killah from Wu-Tang Clan will drop a continuation of his classic 2000 album “Supreme Clientele.” Additionally, Raekwon will release a new album titled the Emperor’s New Clothes.

The late Trugoy The Dove and the Heritage of the Wunderkind will introduce the first albums from Mobb Deep and De La Soul since their passing, with Big L also receiving a posthumous release.

Mass Appeak also hinted at the involvement of “unexpected honorary guests.” More detailed announcements are on the way – check out their ad below:

We chatted with De La Soul recently, where they opened up about the loss of Trugoy The Dove. Trugoy passed away in 2023 at the age of 54; while the cause of death was not disclosed, he had been dealing with heart issues in the years leading up to his passing.

Reflecting on his fondest memories of Trugoy, Maseo stated: “One of our favorite films was ‘Bit -Schell.’ It was something we cherished in our career and always referenced on tour buses. We exchanged quotes and dialogue from the film for years, between me, Pos, and Dave.”

“So, for Pos to approach me and say: ‘Yo, Dail is our Ramon, dude. We must celebrate Ramon. We must turn the entire release catalog into a tribute for our Ramon.’ When he mentioned this, he hit the nail on the head.”

Wu-Tang Clan has also announced their final tour together, with all remaining members set to travel across North America starting in June. Run The Jewels will support them on all dates.
