Upcoming Collection: Tracks II

The new single comes as the cult singer, renowned songwriter, and guitarist prepares to release *Tracks II: The Lost*, which features seven previously unreleased records. Set to arrive on June 27, this collection includes 83 songs that will “fill the rich chapters about the expansive career of Springsteen while offering invaluable insights into his life and work as an artist.”

Today (April 17), the Boss shared a teaser for the upcoming albums in the form of the newly released single, “Blind Spot.”

This track showcases the unreleased “Philadelphia Streets” as its first offering, exploring themes of betrayal and heartbreak within a relationship.

“It was just a theme that I recorded at that moment,” Springsteen stated in a recent interview. “I really don’t know why. Patti and I had a great time in California. But sometimes, if you lock onto one song, you like it, you follow that theme. I had a ‘blind spot,’ and I continued this theme throughout the rest of the recording.”

Even though it was completely finished and mixed, and initially set to be released in the spring of 1995, the album “The Philadelphia Sessions” was shelved when the singer reunited with the E Street Band for the first time in seven years.

“I thought, ‘Well, maybe it’s time to do something with the group or remind the fans of that part of my career,’” he added. “That’s the direction we took. But I always liked the ‘Philadelphia Sessions’… During the Broadway show, I considered releasing it as a separate project. I always postponed it, but I never discarded it.”

Lost Albums and Limited Edition Releases

In another statement shared earlier this month, the singer of *Born in the USA* revealed that all seven of the lost albums were originally full records that were set aside. “I’ve played this music for myself and close friends for many years. I’m thrilled that you’ll finally have a chance to hear them. I hope you enjoy it,” he expressed.

One of the collections is described as the *Research: La Garage Sessions ’83*, which “serves as an important bridge between *Nebraska* and *Born in the USA*.”

The collection also features the soundtrack titled “Faithless” for a film that was never made, along with a country-style collection called “Somewhere North of Nashville.” Additional offerings include “Noir,” orchestrated with a mid-century flair in the *Twilight Watch*.
