Supporting Future Audio Engineers

The fund will provide financial support to college students pursuing audio engineering and production with a focus on electronic music. The organization expresses its desire to “continue the legacy of Sophie by breaking boundaries and amplifying underrepresented voices.”

Since 2021, we have made significant strides, awarding over $600,000 in scholarships to women and other individuals to help them attend workshops and programs that advance their music careers.

“A. The glory of the resonator Inductee, Legacy’s Sophie is a beacon of inspiration for countless creators, and her innovations continue to shape the future of music,” states the scholarship fund. “We are thrilled to honor her lasting impact, as she lives on in the next generation of pioneers.”

In February, Charlie XCX paid tribute to her late collaborator after a remarkable night at the British awards.

While accepting the award for Best Dance Act, she acknowledged those who inspired her: “Crosses for justice, Daft Punk, Sebastian, Hani Djon, Robin, Arch, Mia, Audocer, Afess Twin, and, of course, someone without whom none of us would be here, Sophie.”

Her album “Brat ‘feekended’ so I’,” features a song written in memory of Sophie. Before her exit, she told NME: “This tribute is complex, but there is a song in the record that expresses my relationship with Sophie.

“In reality, the essence of the song revolves around grief. It’s very genuine. All the lyrics reflect a conversational vibe with my friends, and the voice of this record is very candid and definitely dialogic.”

Charlie and Sophie collaborated on numerous projects starting in 2015 with the former Vrom Vrom EP. They continued to work together on singles like “After the Party,” “No Angel,” and “Girls Night Out,” as well as tracks like “Roll with Me” and “GIPGLOSS,” and “Pop 2,” a headlining track.
