Luminate Partners with Kreatorsnetwork

The company, as reported by the research firm Luminate, has secured a partnership with Kreatorsnetwork in South Korea.

Kreatorsnetwork, based in Seoul, is characterized as an “artist service company” focused on the distribution of digital music and artist promotion.

The company is currently emphasizing “creating global expansion strategies for K-POP labels.”

Exclusive License and Market Insights

Under the terms of the agreement with Luminate, Kreatorsnetwork will hold an exclusive license for the sale and distribution of Luminate’s global data regarding music streaming in South Korea, which includes understanding Luminate consumers and advanced metadata solutions via the Connect Data Company platform.

“At Luminate, we aim to collaborate with partners across the entertainment sector on a global scale, assisting them to make data-driven decisions in a rapidly evolving media environment,” said Rob Jonas, the general director of Luminate.

Its latest report for the end of 2024 indicated a global increase in audio, including both audio and video, rising by 14% year, totaling nearly 5 trillion.

Much of this growth was driven from the United States, with the overall OUL markets reporting a 17.3% year increase in streams. Asia experienced the highest increase in subscription flows (up 10.7% year), while Europe saw 8% year growth, and Latin America recorded a 6.1% increase.

For Luminate, the Kreatorsnetwork deal follows its acquisition last year of Quansic, a global music and artist identification service, boasting over 2.5 million ISNI (artist identifiers) and 200 million asset identifiers.

Additionally, Luminate launched the Luminate Index, a tool designed to assess artist influence for various purposes, including brand partnerships.

Simultaneously, Luminate also announced a partnership with Sony Audio, through which the company offers Sony “High -lower, Haven-Pressions” along with consulting services.
