Avicii, whose real name was Tim Bergling, tragically passed away in 2018 at the age of 28. He became a prominent figure in the EDM scene during the 2010s. Following his death, his family made a statement indicating that he had died by suicide.
“Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul looking for answers to existential questions,” they stated at the time. “He was an excessive perfectionist who traveled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress. When he stopped touring, he sought to find balance in his life to be happy and focus on what he loved most.”
“He fought his thoughts about meaning, life, and happiness. He could no longer cope. Tim was not meant for the business machine he found himself in; he was a sensitive person who loved his fans yet avoided the spotlight. Tim, you will be loved forever, and unfortunately, missed. Your music will keep your memory alive.”
Mental Health Resources
Meanwhile, Sandro Kavazza, one of Avicii’s associates, recently expressed his disapproval of the “Forever Yours” release earlier this year.
