Spotify users faced significant issues after the streaming service encountered widespread technical problems.

More than 40,000 users have registered complaints on Downdetector, which monitors platform issues. The reported difficulties appear to affect both the Spotify app and website, according to DiversityField.

The outage impacted users across various countries, including the UK, USA, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, Sweden, and Germany.

The official Spotify status account on X confirmed that the company is aware of these problems.

“We are aware of the outage and are working to resolve it as soon as possible. Claims that this is related to hacking security are false,” the update stated.

Error Messages Encountered

Many Spotify users attempting to access the service encountered an HTTP 502 error message, indicating: “Server error. The server encountered a temporary issue and could not fulfill your request. Please try again in 30 seconds.”

Others faced an HTTP 504 error, stating, “This page is not working. Open.spotify.com took too long to respond,” along with warnings about “waiting for a request upstream.” Users on both mobile and desktop applications reported that the search function was non-functional, and attempts to play music or podcasts were unsuccessful.

Numerous users took to X to voice their frustrations. One user exclaimed, “Spotify Down Omggggg, I can’t take it,” while another commented, “Spotify isn’t working, and I’m still at work.”

Following the outage, Spotify published an update stating: “Everything is resolved – thank you for your patience. Contact @spotifyCares if you still require assistance.”
