Recent reports reveal that the life and influence of the iconic hip-hop trio will be portrayed in a new stage adaptation, set to launch in Washington, D.C. The performance will take place on the arena stage, coinciding with the 75th season of the company.
Production Details
Kvama kwage-arma-boiled stands for One Love: Musical Bob Marley – They have announced that he will direct the premiere and oversee choreography by Chloe O. Davis. The production will feature the group’s greatest hits, including “No Scrubs,” “Waterfalls,” “Unpretty,” and “Creep.”
As of now, it is unclear which group members will participate in the production. Nevertheless, they have released official statements expressing their support for the show.
Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins mentioned that “bringing this story to the stage” feels like “a dream come true” and presents “a completely new and exciting challenge” (via Stereogum).
Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas provided additional details, stating that the audience can expect to “hear our story, mainly grounded in fact with elements of fiction, told in a unique way.”
Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez, who completed the trio, tragically passed away in a car accident in 2002 while in Honduras.
The musical CrazysexyCool is anticipated to premiere at the Krieger Theater from June 12, 2026, to August 9 of the same year.
“TLC completely changed the game. Their music empowered women everywhere, giving them confidence and resilience,” said Bill Diggins, whose theater group, Diggit, is producing the musical.
“However, this isn’t just a story about music; it’s about the bonds between these women and how they navigated unimaginable challenges alongside their triumphs.”

TLC’s fourth studio album, *3D*, was released shortly after their last member’s passing, marking their final work before a nearly decade-long hiatus.
In 2015, TLC made a comeback by launching a Kickstarter campaign to fund a new album, raising $430,255, which became the most funded campaign in the company’s history. Katy Perry was one of the initial backers of the project.
The last release from TLC came in June 2017.
