Marina’s New Album Announcement
Marina has unveiled her sixth album titled “Princess of Power” – check out the new single “Cuntissimo” below.
Upcoming Themes and Release Plans
The singer-songwriter, previously known as FKA Marina and The Diamonds, is set to release the follow-up to her 2021 album “Ancient Dreams in Modern Earth.” You can pre-order it here.
This new era will delve into themes of “power, sexuality, and desirability.” “Cuntissimo” is termed “a love song celebrating independence” and “honors women who do not adhere to these norms” (“Salma Hayek in the Sun/ Louise and Telma on the run“).
In her statement, Marina noted: “Often, women feel they are not empowered to embrace their sexuality without it being about attracting men.”
“They often feel that it’s co-opted; I want to liberate young women from the idea that our bodies do not completely belong to us.”

“Cuntissimo” marks the third teaser of the forthcoming “Princess of Power,” following 'Cupid Girl' and “Butterfly.” An official music video directed by Olivia de Camps is expected to premiere at 5 PM today (April 11). Be sure to tune in.
The tracklist for the new album has not yet been released, but you can view the official cover art.
Marina is scheduled to perform at Coachella 2025 before returning for the festival’s second weekend next Friday (18). Other North American performances this summer include Governor’s Ball, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza.
Anticipations from the Media
The press release informed fans to “Stay tuned for news and music from Marina, which is coming soon.”
During an interview with Katya Stone, Marina discussed her forthcoming sixth album: “I believe this next record will hold significance, and I think the poetry book (Eat the World) reflects that as well. I can diverge and create something purely for the joy of it. I seem to be in a different segment of my creative memory.”
She added: “(…) Part of me is desperately trying to produce something, while another part simply says: ‘Enjoy the process.’ This is my favorite part: creating an entry and developing a world around it.”
Marina hinted at new material last summer, leading to speculation about possible connections to the project.
In a four-star review of “Ancient Dreams in Modern Earth,” NME described the collection as perhaps Marina’s “most personal record.” They remarked: “(her) melodies and vocal hooks continue to sound unique. Nothing in this world can alter that, and for this, we must be truly grateful.”

Discussing the upcoming LP, Marina told NME that she is no longer driven by chart success, stating, “I feel like that ship has sailed.”
The artist continued: “I have experienced moments of excitement, but as an artist, that no longer motivates me. Now it’s more about: ‘What intrigues me at this moment? What do I wish to explore in my music?’”
She also reflected on her decision to drop “and the Diamonds” from her stage name back in 2018, viewing it as a pivotal moment in her career: “I thought: ‘Anything that helps me feel more authentic and relaxed is beneficial.’ I recognized that the name was a part of this journey.”
