The rapper recalled an incomplete ranting incident during a recent live broadcast, stating that the singer came to his house in 2016 with a request not to support Trump. Even though West did not vote at that time, he mentioned that he actually voted for the current US president in the 2016 election.
West’s Remarks on Politics
During the live broadcast, West was heard saying: “Frank Ocean came over to my house, talking about Trump all day and how I shouldn’t support him. N *** a, damn it, you know about politics, and n *** a, I’m your bastard with leaving, og, you all came to the tour with me, n *** a.”
He added, “None of you can tell me about the politics of n *** a. Damn, do you think? You read a book, and now you can tell me a little shit?”
West further declared, “Not one of them is as talented. I am the greatest artist to have ever existed. They might be a little better at one thing because they only do one thing.”

West faced criticism when he began publicly supporting Trump at his concerts, prompting fans to respond with sentiments like, “I miss the old Kanye.”
The rapper continued to praise Trump after his initial term as president, leading to Trump tweeting in response: “Thank you, Kanye, very cool!” asserting that West helped boost his approval ratings among African Americans.
West also expressed support for Trump during the 2020 elections, amidst his own presidential bid, although he lost shortly thereafter. He later confirmed another presidential run for 2024, expressing his desire for Trump to be his running mate.
However, West’s lawyer later clarified that he would not pursue the presidency.
