Peter Dortorta Presents “The Day Baron Died” from His Latest Album

Peter is Pre-season

Peter is Pre-season as he prepares for the release of his new album “Weet Better Alive,” set to drop on May 16, featuring the first originals from the record.

New Single Release

The new single 'On the Day When the Baron Died' comes with a video filmed in Etretat, Normandy. This visually striking piece is directed by Thad & Numa, and features Doherty alongside Katia Devidas Doherty, all wrapped in a Gothic theme.

Regarding the new track, Doherty mentions, “I always thought it was a strange jazz number, with a silly little melody at the end. This serves as a sort of tribute to (John Lennon’s) “Instant Karma”—not in terms of lyrics but rather a unique rhythm on the drums.”

The album follows his 2022 collaboration with Frederic Luo on “Fantasy Life of Poetry & Crime,” and comes after The Libertines’ chart-topping 2024 release “All Piet on the Easters Esplanade.” A special 7-inch vinyl single featuring two non-album tracks, “Océan” and “Honky Noir,” will also be available.
