Last December, David shared his aspirations for future collaborations with Asher. “For me, listening to Asher, I have grown up, I feel that it would be great… We created something special,” he remarked.

“We had a moment at Skyrock radio station in Paris where we recorded a small freestyle when I released ‘Fill Me In’ and ‘7 Days’ and he had ‘You Force Me’ that was going to be on his album 8701, so it was a significant moment.”

“Everyone said, ‘You guys should do something together.’ It feels right to say we’ve checked that box.”

David hasn’t released new solo music since 2022, when he debuted his first Christmas song, “Get Yourself a Happy Little Christmas.” In the same year, he launched his eighth studio album, “22,” which received four stars from NME.

NME described, “Craig David could pull a dangerous trick with a return album.” They continued, “At a time when many R&B fans in the UK are clamoring for excellent music and recognition, David not only satisfies this demand but also utilizes his platform to elevate several stars.”
