About the Film
A continuation of the 2010 film Throne: Heritage, and the third installment in Disney’s Throne franchise, this movie explores “a very complex program, anres, which is sent from the digital realm to the real world on a perilous mission, marking humanity’s first encounter with artificial beings,” as stated in the press release.
Directed by Joachim Ronning, Throne: Ares features stars Jared Leto and Greta Lee, both of whom appear in the trailer, along with Evan Peters and Jeff Bridges. The film hits theaters on October 10.
Music Contributions
The newly released trailer, made available today (April 6), also offers a first listen to the score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Although they have collaborated on various films, including their recent projects with Luca Guadagnino such as Queer and Applicants—the latter of which won them a Golden Globe—this marks their first collaboration for a film under the Nine Inch Nails name.
In addition to the film’s score, new original songs from Nine Inch Nails will be featured, as the group is set to hit the road in June for their first headlining tour in three years.

The band will embark on their “Peel It Back” tour later this year, featuring Boys Noize, and marking their first live performances together since 2022. This summer will see stages in the UK, Europe, and North America.

In a recent interview at the end of 2024, Reznor revealed that Nine Inch Nails is working on new material. “We are ready to return to the driver’s seat,” he stated.
The forthcoming new record will be their first since the unexpected double album, “Ghosts V-VI,” released in 2020, following 2018’s Bad Witch.
