The Los Angeles Sister Trio made a comeback last month with “Freshov,” an R&Dar-Track titled “Relations,” which was accompanied by a music video featuring Drew Stark. The press release highlights that it serves as a contrast to their forthcoming Rock Sound album.
Now, Daniel, who leads the vocals on the track, took to Instagram to share the inspiration for their next single, set to be released this Friday (April 4). She revealed that the song was written after she experienced a panic attack.
In her post, Daniel expressed: “This upcoming song is my favorite of what we’ve written in the last couple of years… Writing it helped me through tough times, and we felt it could resonate perfectly this summer! I started writing this after returning home from the tour, feeling so grateful for the incredible experience but also confused about certain aspects of it.”
“After much reflection, I realized I let too many people dictate how I should live my life. I lost myself amidst the happiness others seemed to be having.”
She further stated that she wrote the song “as a way to regain my belief in myself and to stop being afraid of pursuing what I want. I hope it resonates with anyone who needs it.”

The group hinted at another single recently, sending a text message to their mailing list, stating, “Are you ready for another (?).” They also shared a video on TikTok indicating that a “new song” is coming this week.
Haim has not yet announced their fourth studio album, which will follow the 2020 release of “Women in Music, III.” During a recent interview, the trio revealed that a sample from George Michael will be featured on the record! The track titled “Gone” is said to embody the feeling of clarity following a time of turmoil. The album will also include a song called “Take Me Back.”

Alana Haim stated in an interview with i-D that the upcoming album is “the closest we’ve come to achieving our desired sound,” adding that this experience was “completely different.”
Haim collaborated once again with the producer Growth Batmanlius (of Vampire Weekend and Clairo fame).
“Working with him is generally very fast and kinetic, which I truly appreciate as an artist,” Daniel explained. “Previously, the process felt a bit longer and more arduous.”
In other news, Haim is set to perform at the Big Weekend Radio 1 in 2025, taking place in Sefton Park, Liverpool, next month. They also have plans to appear at Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Porto this summer.
Meanwhile, Daniel Haim has teamed up with Bon Iver for her new single “If I Could Only Wait.”
