Sleep Token has announced that they will drop a new single on Friday (April 4).

Teasing the Anticipation

The masked group is set to unveil their second single from the upcoming album “Even in Arcadia” and has recently credited Metalhead Weatherman Chris Michaels for helping to tease this announcement.

Michaels, who is associated with Wral and Fox 50 in North Carolina, took to social media with enigmatic posts that seem to be linked to Sleep Token. On March 27, he shared a video featuring the group’s logo against a black screen, ending with the text: “Prepare. 3/29.”

On March 29, Michaels hinted at another teaser expected on the 31st. He delivered a speech in the video, while images of the group’s logo flashed intermittently: “To date, you know to prepare for any storm that can go, but do you really know where you are? Well, here is a proposal to help you become better.”

Now, Sleep Token has confirmed the release of the single “Caramel” with a video of Flamingo—affectionately dubbed Jerry by fans—on their social media channels. The video states that the song will be released on Friday (April 4).

“Even in Arcadia” is set to release on May 9 through RCA. They previously announced the main single “Emergence” in March—a track that NME described as Sleep Token’s “vast, genre-wrapping best” in a four-star review.

The “Emergence” single confirms the intriguing turns they have in store, sustaining excitement around the narrative universe of “Even in Arcadia.” Some fans anticipate disconnection, expecting departures from the connected trilogies seen in earlier albums, as noted by writer Risha Shah. “Meanwhile, we can only continue what Sleep Token has always asked us to do: to worship.”

Sleep Token will be performing at this year’s Download Festival alongside Green Day and Korn.

They will also embark on their “Even in Arcadia” tour in September, covering various locations across North America. The tour kicks off in Duluth, Georgia, on September 16 and travels to cities including Orlando, Greensboro, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, and more over the following weeks.
